Experience Costa Rica partners with local people who are already making a difference in their own community through construction, relational ministry, and education. We participate in on-going Tico*-led efforts, supporting their good work with our labor and love. (Tico is the word that Costa Ricans use to refer to themselves as a people group).

Young Women
Experience Costa Rica offers a unique medium-length missions opportunity for young women between the ages of 19 and 24.
During your time in Costa Rica, you will explore what it means to “step away, step into, and step out” through a variety of different kinds of international mission work in a single setting, La Fortuna, Costa Rica. EXPERIENCE is hosted by Jenny Lee, a U.S. missionary based la Iglesia Metodista, a local church in La Fortuna. Participants will spend three and a half weeks studying God’s Word, learning Spanish, working with a variety of mission opportunities. Those opportunities may include doing light construction, leading Bible school, teaching English, maybe even making tamales for a church fundraiser. The goal of the Experience program is to discover the many ways a person can be the hands and feet of Jesus both at home and abroad. The Experience program can be personally tailored to each participant’s interests and abilities. Experience missions in Costa Rica!

Retreats
Whether you’re looking for a place for your organization’s leadership to re-ignite your passion or a place for your church group to deepen their shared purpose, Experience Costa Rica can host your retreat!
We can arrange your housing, transportation, a service experience, and a little fun while you focus on your mission!
*retreats do not have to be faith based
Families
It’s never too early to introduce your young family to the importance of missions. We would love to help you share this experience with your children (ages 6+).
Because we partner with local elementary schools and with a local orphanage, we offer safe places for children (with their parents) to experience serving in missions abroad. Whether you serve in a public elementary school or with a local orphanage you will have opportunities to learn about the culture of Costa Rica and what it means to live the love of Jesus wherever you are!
Mission Teams
Are you a short term mission team leader looking for an international mission site?
Experience Costa Rica partners with local people who are already making a difference in their own community through construction, relational ministry, and education. We offer great opportunities for your group to serve in schools, an orphanage, and alongside local churches, supporting their good work with our labor and love.

Experience works with local camps, farms, and hotels to provide accommodations that best meet the needs of each group. Our team will discuss the specific needs of the group during the trip planning process and provide options based on the information received.
